    Our new 2023/24 season has plenty on offer for little ones and their families. Keep an eye out for our family shows in the coming year, including our Christmas show Pied Piper, which is available to book now!

    Socìetas: Buchettino – Sat 26 & Sun 27 Aug, 11.30am & 3.30pm

    Buchettino is a classic piece of Childhood Theatre told by Gulbenkian/iCCi Associate Artists, Socìetas (formerly Societàs Raffaello Sanzio). It is the story of Tom Thumb but unlike any version you may have seen before…..

    trickyart: Crockodogopig – Sat 7 Oct, 2pm

    Follow Crock as he embarks on a quest to retrieve his stolen Happy from the wicked Kangalouse. What sinister scheme does the Kangalouse have up his sleeve? Find out as you join the Crockodogopig on this exciting journey!

    Tutti Frutti Productions & One Tenth Human: The Lightbulb Princess – Sat 14 Oct, 2pm

    Can you help a very unusual princess solve an unexpected problem? Without the twinkle of fairy lights, the holiday season could be cancelled! It’s up to our intrepid explorer, her pals and YOU to illuminate the world again.

    Make, Mend, Do: Tiny Echoes – Sun 29 Oct, 2pm

    Adalberto and Sophia are happy. they look to the future and gaze at the stars… until, one day, disaster strikes. After a sudden and tragic loss, Adalberto travels through the cosmos in an attempt to keep his one true love alive.

    Tall Stories: The Gruffalo’s Child – Wed 18 & Thu 19 Oct, 10.30am & 4.30pm

    Follow the Gruffalo’s Child on her adventurous mission in Tall Stories’ enchanting adaptation of the much-loved picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.

    A Battersea Arts Centre, Beatbox Academy & rODIUM Co-Production – Christmas Show: Pied Piper – Wed 6 – Sun 10 Dec, times vary

    Pied Piper is a raucous musical re-imagining of a medieval fairy-tale. Featuring a hugely talented cast of beatboxers, musicians and special guest performances from the local community, get ready for an electrifying night of vocal wizardry for all the family.

    This informal performance includes a diverse programme from Haydn to Jessie Montgomery; Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges to Dvorak and everything in between.

    Little Seeds Music and Z-arts – Luna Loves Library Day – Tue 13 Feb, 2:00pm

    It’s the day when she discovers magic among the library shelves, from dinosaurs to mummies, from unexplained mysteries to monsters and magic.

    Little Bulb: Four Seasons – Sat 23 Mar to Mon 25 Mar, times vary

    Four Seasons is a celebration of the wonder and weirdness of nature and our place within it, all set to an exciting score of seasonally inspired tracks including, of course, Vivaldi’s iconic piece.

    There’s a Monster in Your Show – Wed 22 & Thu 23 May, 10:30am & 4:30pm

    Tom Fletcher’s interactive adventures for big imaginations are leaping from page to stage, as the beloved ‘Who’s in Your Book?’ series makes its debut as a brand-new musical show

    ART31

    ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

    ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

    The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.

    ART31 Generate

    ART31 Generate is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25. They steer ART31's governance, influence arts policy and practice, and programme the annual GENFest Youth Takeover Festival.

    Youth Theatre

    Fantastic and fun sessions for ages 13-18 years, encouraging creativity and theatre-making skills.

    Screen31 is a group for young people aged 15-25 interested in developing their film-making skills.

    TECH31 provides free practical training in technical theatre for ages 13 - 25

    National Theatre Connections – Gulbenkian Young Company

    NT Connections is the National Theatre’s nationwide youth theatre festival. Each year it offers a unique opportunity for youth theatres and school theatre groups to stage new plays written for young people by some of theatre’s most exciting playwrights, and to perform in leading theatres across the UK.

    Square Pegs Arts are an award winning charity who provide drama groups, music projects and other accessible Arts opportunities for children and young adults who have learning disabilities and autism, and produce original, inspiring, challenging Theatre. Difference is celebrated and everyone is supported to shine in their own way.
