Presented by Canterbury Shakespeare Festival
A younger brother plots to secure his father’s favour and a suitable marriage partner.
The amorous jilt is a woman (married to a twerpy husband she wants to be rid of) who rejects ‘the younger brother’ in the interests of courting a rich prince instead.
In one of the best scenes the rich prince rescues the jilt from a night time house fire caused by drunken idiots and carries her to the younger brother as part of the rescue.
