South East Cultural Innovation Forum presents...
The University of Kent will host the South East Cultural Innovation Forum’s annual symposium on Wed 10 July 2024.
This will look to develop answers to the following two questions:
- How can the South East Cultural Innovation Forum collaborate with others to enhance the diversity of leadership and governance across, and beyond, the region’s creative sector?
- How can the South East Cultural Innovation Forum work to build social justice and cultural equity in a practical and meaningful way?
We are delighted that Dr. Mykaell Riley from the University of Westminster has agreed to deliver a keynote speech to lay foundations for discussions, workshops, music, screenings and events across the day. Mykaell is Director of the Black Music Research Unit at the University of Westminster and the curator of Beyond the Bassline: 500 years of Black British Music an exhibition at the British Library from April to August 2024
The Symposium will take place at the Historic Dockyard Church, Chatham, which is wheelchair accessible. The Church is in the Historic Dockyard site. Travelling by train/bus you can come in via the Main Gate of the Historic Dockyard (postcode: ME4 4TZ); or if driving you can enter at the main car park (ME4 4TY).
