Join us for an evening of Fusions — a concert exploring the meeting of musical worlds, where genres, cultures and traditions intertwine and collide to create something new.
Performed by several of our outstanding choirs and ensembles, the programme showcases the breadth and energy of music-making across the department, from reimagined classics to innovative contemporary sounds.
At the heart of the evening is a full performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring Year 13 pianist Isaac, accompanied by a 50-piece orchestra and a number of special guest musicians. This iconic work perfectly captures the spirit of fusion, blending jazz influences with the symphonic tradition in a thrilling and virtuosic showcase.
