AGMP Present

Terry Chambers and ExTC on their greatest hits tour, with special guests Yeah Yeah Noh.

For almost four decades, XTC fans could only dream of witnessing the sensational XTC classic songbook played live. That dream has now become a reality. XTC’s legendary drummer, Terry Chambers, is back on the road with his band ExTC (named and approved by XTC frontman, Andy Partridge). Emerging out of the post-punk and new-wave explosion of the late 70s, XTC experienced global success touring with the likes of The Police and Talking Heads.

Yeah Yeah Noh Formed in Leicestershire in 1983 by vocalist Derek Hammond and guitarist John Grayland, this inventive post-punk act got a break when they caught the ear of BBC Radio 1’s John Peel. Over the next two years, they recorded five singles and an album for Marc Riley’s label — as well as four sessions for Peel — dabbling in psychedelia as their repertoire grew. The band split in 1986, despite becoming regulars on the U.K. indie chart. Having reformed in 2012, an unprecedented burst of activity and attention has surrounded the recent Big Thumb EP, the first new material in 11 years.

“Yeah Yeah Noh were my favourite mix of sneery post-punk and swooshy psychedelia – and now they’re back” – Stewart Lee.

ART31

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
