Presented by Folk in the Barn in Association with Gulbenkian

Many people say that their Christmas doesn’t start until they have seen The Albion Christmas Band!

The Albion Christmas Band are widely regarded as the premier seasonal show, which has been touring for 25 years this year, and attracts sell-out audiences across the UK.

Featuring the combined talents of Simon Nicol (Fairport Convention), Kellie While (Albion Band) Simon Care (Edward II) and the Guvnor himself, Ashley Hutchings MBE, this show takes you on a guided tour through the Christmas customs of Britain.

A seasonal mixture of carols, spoken word and humorous readings, it really is the perfect way to start your festivities. This year will see material chosen by the band from the last 25 years of shows and albums, a “best of the Albion Christmas” selection.

Described in The Guardian as “the perfect antidote to the corporate Christmas”, this is a show not to be missed! Featured in the ‘Top ten unmissable shows this Christmas’ by The Telegraph in 2018.

Joining them will be Ashley’s son, talented singer-songwriter right Blair Dunlop.

ART31

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
