Craven Faults - Keeley Forsyth & Matthew Bourne will be performing a double bill at Gulbenkian Arts Centre.

Craven Faults

Craven Faults is a British electronic artist and producer known for combining analogue synthesizers, electronics and field recordings to create music that draws from ambient music, Krautrock and electronica. The name is taken from the Craven Fault System in the Pennines and much of his music draws inspiration from the landscapes of Yorkshire, where he resides.

Sidings is the third full-length double LP by Craven Faults, following 2020 debut Erratics & Unconformities and 2023’s Standers. These long-form releases have each been punctuated with shorter single disc albums – Enclosures at the end of 2020 and Bounds in 2024. Each one builds on Craven Faults’ lore and takes a unique view of the north of England through the spectrum of slowly unfurling analogue electronic music. On the one hand it draws influence from the global underground of the arts and music, via seminal records, studios and concerts, and on the other it traces journeys through the post-industrial landscape outside the old mill Craven Faults calls home. The devil’s in the details. It always was and it always will be. It’s there for those who seek it out.

Keeley Forsyth & Matthew Bourne
Hand To Mouth

Acclaimed singer and actress Keeley Forsyth presents a rare and stripped back performance with her long-time collaborator Matthew Bourne on piano.  Hand To Mouth builds on their 2025 6 track EP of the same name – a subtly contemplative collection of stripped back songs, focusing primarily on the minimal ingredients of voice and piano. The result is a beautifully considered investigation of restraint and space.

In recent years, Keeley has worked with many esteemed collaborators, including Ben Frost, Colin Stetson, Teho Teardo, Louis Carnell, Gazelle Twin, Evelyn Glennie, Yann Tiersen and Hiro Ama.

With 3 critically acclaimed albums now behind her, Forsyth has become a leading and sought after performer, known for the raw emotionality of her singular vocal ability and striking physical performance. She has left an indelible mark on stages around the world, including Dark Mofo, Le Guess Who?, LEV, CTM, Unsound, Pitchfork, Rewire and Donau festival and in 2026 was BRDCST Festival’s guest curator and will present an expanded version of this HAND TO MOUTH TO at the Royal Opera House, London.

Matthew Bourne is a recipient of numerous awards and accolades, and possesses an inventive and unique artistic approach for bringing infirm pianos back to life in Harpsichords (2024), collaborating with classical musicians of the London Sinfonietta in Written/Unwritten, the acclaimed solo piano albums, Montauk Variations, Isotach, and reinterpretations of Amon Tobin’s work for Ninja Tune. Other projects include Radioland; a live reworking of Kraftwerk’s Radio-Activity album (in collaboration with Franck Vigroux & Antoine Schmitt), solo synthesiser album moogmemory; Nightports w/Matthew Bourne; and the double-album Aeolian, with the late Keith Tippett. Bourne’s work has appeared on compilations by Bonobo and Hot Chip, and featured in Paolo Sorentino’s 2018 film LORO. Bourne continues to develop his solo piano work (Désinances / Irrealis / This Is Not For You.)

ART31

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
