If you are 18-25 and like to find every opportunity you can to perform, learn, make friends and have fun, then Gulbenkian Theatre Makers is for you!!
Each Monday evening between 6.30 and 8.30pm the group will get together, with experienced facilitator and theatre director Emma Willatts, to develop skills, play games and create opportunities for performance. You do not need to be studying drama, nor have prior experience, but simply be excited to develop work with others.
In the past, this group has performed showcases of scripted work, created short films, performed in collaboration with professional companies, and some members were cast in The Effect, which was in Gulbenkian’s main program last year. Alongside this has also been a lot of laughs, many a pub trip, group visits to see shows and a weekly chance to be part of a really supportive, friendly group of like-minded people.
This year the group will spend the first term looking at different ways of working with different practitioners, companies and stimuli, with a view to creating some exciting performance opportunities in 2026.
There are spots available so make sure you book your free tickets!
