Presented by Acrojou

A love song to existence. To launch our Spring Season we are excited to welcome back Acrojou - one of Britain's most innovative dance and circus companies. Join us from 6.30pm to find out more about our 2020 plans from Gulbenkian Director Oliver Carruthers.

Vagabond Matter takes you through the cosmos and back again. Moving, visceral and thought-provoking, it dances with mortality, love and the towering truth of impermanence.  The show is a love song to existence.

Vagabond Matter has been created in collaboration with a team of international circus artists, through a process unlike any other we’ve undergone. It is completely different to anything we’ve created previously. At the same time, it’s the most authentically, honestly and fully Acrojou production ever.

And so, we present our most personal production yet. It’s taken many leaps – from the artists and team. It is, in fact, one big leap. A leap of understanding, a leap of process, and a leap of faith.

It is full of our love. We hope you enjoy it.

Pay What You Decide – Book your ticket now for free, and then pay what you decide/what you can after the performance.

Give £50 to our Gulbenkian 50 campaign and help us to raise £20,000 in 2019.

With your help we will give more young people the space to meet and share amazing, creative experiences with each other, to rub shoulders with professional artists and practitioners, to grow as individuals and learn for themselves how to use the arts to transform their own lives.

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
