International Drone Day is back!
Whitstable based Coastal Electronauts present International Drone Day 2025 – an evening of tone clusters, electronic music and live immersive visuals.
Following the success of previous years, Coastal Electronauts are back with their 3rd annual celebration of drone, community, and experimental sounds.
International Drone Day was originally conceived by Marie LeBlanc Flanagan of Weird Canada in 2014 with events happening all around the world.
This year we are excited to have the incredibly talented Sam Battle aka LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER headlining for us.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER has been building his online following since 2017 when he began uploading videos to YouTube, in 2018 he released his first proper EP. Having played sold out shows across the UK and Europe and picked up support from BBC Radio 1 & 6 Music, he continues to tour and release music alongside writing and producing for other artists and sharing content on his YouTube channel.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER’s YouTube channel now has over 650,000 subscribers and shows a real insight into the genius that Sam Battle is; be it building the musical Gameboy Mega Machine, an organ from 90’s toy Furbies or conducting an orchestra of 97 Lego Star Wars Droids to perform the film’s theme song, he is constantly working on creative musical projects. Sam builds his own synths and musical machines which he plays at his live shows and on his genre defying records.
LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER will be supported by Coastal Electronauts regulars Shape Navigator, Sophie Sirota and AnalogueMechanic.
Live interactive visuals will be provided by analogue/digital artist @diz_qo
In addition to the evening’s performance, Electronauts Sebtic Smile and OSVoS will also be hosting a communal drone/jam before the main event; bring a bit of kit and join in. Book your place here:
You can also hear them perform alongside Ghostyhed afterwards on the Cafe Stage.
