Come on a jazz and funk fuelled family adventure into the deep dark woods. Who will we find and will they be bad or good? Specially designed for ages 3 - 7 and their grown-ups! A fun mixture of animation, interactive music making and solid groove from the Groove Baby Organ Trio.

Family favourite Groove Baby premieres at Refract with an exciting, jazz and funk fuelled show especially for 3 – 7s and their grown-ups!

Groove Into the Woods is an animated and live-action magical, musical adventure which follows three friends into a fairytale forest where they learn some important lessons about who you can trust, who your friends are and which troll might eat you!

Specially designed to be a midpoint between kid shows and ‘regular’ adult concerts, this show has something for everyone (in the kingdom).

Blending jungle rhythms, infectious pop themes, and a heavy dose of 60s Blue Note soul jazz, the Groove Baby Organ Trio creates a non-stop groove that will have everyone on their feet.

The duration of this show is approx. 55 minutes. Suitable for children ages 3 – 7 and their grown-ups.

Children must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket at all times. Children under/over the recommended age may be admitted but will still require a child’s ticket.  Baby on lap tickets (+£1 with adult booking) are available for 0-18months (Full & Baby).  Age ranges are provided as a guide and we ask you to consider whether a show is suitable for your child. For further information please contact our Ticket & Information Team on 01227 769075 who will be happy to help.

ART31

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
