Coronavirus pandemic closure

Gulbenkian reopens Thu 20th Aug. Visit our Coronavirus Update news page for the latest on this.

A masterclass in how to create a fun, beautiful puppet out of the objects that you find in your house.

From collecting and recycling materials across your home each participant will create their own unique puppet. With award winning puppet designer Peter Morton learn how to create a character, find how it can move, and then make your own.

The session will end with creating an amazing music video with the puppets dancing over zoom (which will then be edited together and sent through to you to keep!). A list of basic making materials will be sent out before the session, but the majority you will already have and half the fun is working with what you can find!

This is an online workshop delivered through zoom. Information on joining the group will be emailed to you in advance of the session. Ticket sales will be cut off 1 hour before the start time.

Recommended for ages 11+

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
