Lions rule the African savannah in Disney’s live action remake, which welcomes Donald Glover as future king Simba and Beyonce Knowles-Carter as Simba’s friend-turned-love interest Nala.

James Earl Jones (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Field of Dreams) stars as Simba’s wise and loving father, Mufasa, reprising his iconic performance from Disney’s 1994 animated classic. Chiwetel Ejiofor (Twelve Years a Slave, Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange) was called on to portray Simba’s villainous uncle Scar, and Alfre Woodard (Juanita, Marvel’s Luke Cage) portrays Simba’s no-nonsense mother, Sarabi. JD McCrary (OWN’s Tyler Perry’s The Paynes, Apple’s Vital Signs) fills the shoes of Young Simba, a confident cub who can’t wait to be king, and Shahadi Wright Joseph (NBC’s Hairspray Live, Broadway’s The Lion King) brings tough cub Young Nala to life.

Family film screenings have a more relaxed attitude to sound and movement in the auditorium creating an inclusive atmosphere to enjoy the film with the whole family.

Children must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Baby on lap tickets (£1) are available on family film screenings for 0-18months.  For further information please contact our Ticket & Information Team on 01227 769075 who will be happy to help.

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
