As part of Elevate slow conference in disabled-led and accessible arts!

Are you an actor looking for your next project? Or a programmer wanting a fresh new performance? Come and see what’s new in the Kent and Medway arts scene as invited artists call for collaborators for their ideas.

Pitch Your Project is a Dragon’s Den style event, where artists and organisations who responded to our call-out present 10 minute pitches of their ideas for a new project. The event is designed to help artists connect with the people they need to make their project take shape – from actors to investors, access facilitators or mentors.

Pitch Your Project will be run by Creative Producers Matthew Jones and Roberta Spicer, of 1 Degree East. This producer-led arts organisation supports artists, producers, and programmers to create ambitious, high quality theatre, dance and outdoor events and festivals through mentoring & advice, practical support to develop projects and producing new work.

The event will include introductions from 1 Degree East, project pitches and discussion time. From 1pm there will be a networking lunch to start building those new collaborations!

This event is for anyone looking to collaborate on exciting new work.

ART31

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
