presented by The Architects of Air

Architects of Air return to bOing! with another stunning Luminarium experience.

‘Arboria II’ is an immersive and interactive sculpture, dedicated to the theme of ‘trees’ and designed to evoke wonder at the beauty of light and colour.

Inside the inflated structure, you will encounter three tree-like structures where cones and spheres combine to create a brightly luminous tree trunk and branches that reach over their head. A transformative and sensory experience for any age.

Tickets can be bought on the day (expect queues at busy times). We recommend that you book entry in advance for a timeslot – a limited number of tickets are available. Time in the Luminarium is limited to 20 minutes at busy periods, but longer if there is no queue. Due to the special setting of this event, audience members who wish to enter the structure will be asked to remove their shoes.

Children under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult (1 adult to 4 childen). Babies (0-18months) are free to enter the Luminarium with an adult and do not require a baby ticket.

Arboria II is accessible to wheelchair users and anyone with mobility issues.

ART31 takes its name from Article 31 of the UN Convention on the Rights of a Child, which states that ‘Children have the right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’.

ART31 is a vision created with, by, and for young people in Kent, championing the belief that all children and young people have an entitlement to access high quality arts and culture, to empower them to achieve their creative potential, and to genuinely engage young people as equal partners in any decision making that affects them.

The ART31 Youth Board is made up of young people from across Kent aged 13-25 who steer its governance, and influence policy and practice across the county and beyond, challenging the creative sector to examine existing ways of working and integrate young people into the core of their practice.
