Presented by Uchenna Dance

Three fierce, clever and witty female characters explore community, heritage, womanhood, friendship, and most importantly; hair.

The Head Wrap Diaries is a dance theatre show set within a South London hair-salon called BE U Tiful, giving the audience front row seats to watch, interact with and become immersed in a journey from childhood to the present day.

Vicki Igbokwe and Uchenna Dance work in the styles of House, Waacking and Vogue, fused with African and Contemporary dance. The production is accompanied by a commissioned soundtrack of Afro house, folk, electronic dance music, jazz and Ghana gospel.

The Head Wrap Bar: Stay with us each night after the show for an interactive, informal discussion in the Head Wrap Bar.

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
