Marian Music for the Milan Duomo’
works by Gaspar van Weerbeke, Matthias Werrecore
Franchinus Gaffurius & Josquin des Prez

Tonight’s programme is centred around Matthias Werrecore, a 16th-century Flemish composer who was maestro di cappella at Milan Cathedral from 1522-50.

Remarkably, only one of his works, La Bataglia Taliana, has received occasional performances in modern times. This concert sets about restoring Werrecore’s reputation to the status it deserves, by placing the finest of his Marian motets alongside those of his predecessors at Milan Cathedral.

Sponsored by Gilbert Holbourn and Martin & Caroline Goodier

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
