Presented by UKC Malaysian Society

The prosperous kingdom of Malacca receives a visitor for the Coronation of the young Crown Prince of Malacca.

The princess of Majapahit arrives for the joyous occasion but also to seek freedom from the shackles of royalty. At first sight, The Sultan of Malacca is swept away by her grace and sends his noblest warrior to ask for her hand in marriage. Instead, the princess finds love and liberation from the warrior. Will they be together despite his loyalty to the Sultan? Will she leave her homeland and neglect her people? Will love find a way or will they be bound to secrecy forever? The answers can only be found in the legend of Gunung Ledang.

This event has been moved to Sat 2 Mar and will now take place in the Colyer-Fergusson Hall.  This is due to essential maintenance work in the Gulbenkian theatre auditorium, apologies for any inconvenience. If you have purchased a ticket, a member of the team will be in touch shortly. Alternatively please contact our ticket office directly on 01227 769075.

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
