Oily Cart Presents

After its sell-out success over a decade ago, HIPPITY HOP is back to meet a new generation of hip young things.

Experience the poetry, puppetry, music and movement of the first ever interactive hip-hop show for young children aged 2-5. With graffiti-based designs, hip hop flavoured beats and the twinkling lights of the city, HIPPITY HOP celebrates street culture. Join the Hippity Hoppity baby for a multi-sensory musical – it’s a hip hopera!

Please note this is a promenade performance and audiences will be seated on the floor. There will be a few seats available for those who need them.

Children must have a valid ticket and be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children under the recommended age may be admitted but will still require a child’s ticket. Baby on lap tickets (£1) are available on selected shows for 0-18months.  Age ranges are provided as a guide and we ask you to consider whether a show is suitable for your child. For further information please contact our Ticket & Information Team on 01227 769075 who will be happy to help.

Snow White, Rose Red, Bear Brown

Snow White and Rose Red – sisters, twins, best friends – have lived in the forest since they were Babes in the Wood. Not as worldly wise as their Mother would have liked, they are nonetheless, kind, caring and sometimes a little over enthusiastic in their deeds!

Our work with young people

Children and Young People are at the heart of what we do, as audience members, as participants and as thought leaders.

Through our landmark ART31 project we are working with young people and partners in Kent to create new opportunities through the arts for under 25's across the county.

Below are some of our current projects focused on the development of young people.
