Gulbenkian & Colyer-Fergusson Concert Hall Temporary Closure
7 May 2020
Update on events at Gulbenkian and Colyer-Fergusson Hall
Events in May/June – We have taken the decision to postpone our event programme at Gulbenkian and the Colyer-Fergusson Concert Hall until after 30 June 2020. Whilst some events may be cancelled, we are trying wherever possible to postpone events to autumn 2020 and spring 2021.
Events in July/August – Although we hope to be open again, the uncertainty and inability for artists to rehearse is leading to many live events over the summer are being postponed. If you have tickets for events in these months, we will email you to inform you if they are cancelled.
bOing! International Family Festival 2020 – Last month we took the decision to postpone bOing! until 2021. You will also be able to see Motionhouse perform their new work NOBODY, co- commissioned by us for bOing!, in April 2021.
If you have tickets for events during this period we will be in touch with you by email to update you. You will be offered an alternative date, a voucher, or a refund at that point.
During the furlough period we are currently running on a reduced team. We are checking emails to email@example.com regularly but please be aware our response may be slower than usual.
We miss you!
For the moment our café and cinema also remain closed, but we are ready to re-open as soon as it is safe to do so. We anticipate this won’t be for a number of weeks, but we intend to be screening films, brewing coffee and serving meals as soon as we possibly can.
The programme at Gulbenkian & Colyer-Fergusson Concert Hall brings together audiences of all ages, from across a wide range of communities on and off campus. Having to close our doors for this period is incredibly sad for our whole team. We can’t wait to open up again and for our theatre, concert hall, cinema and café to be busy and active once again. We look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can.
